I Finally Felt Free.

There were so many people who gave so much of themselves for us at the retreat. I felt indulgent! What a great group! I finished radiation on the Friday prior to the retreat and then ventured to Grayling on Sunday, where I immediately felt like I was let loose from a cage. Everyone had such control of me for so many months. I finally felt free! What a way to start a new beginning, a new cancer-free life. To start it on the river was spectacular! Thanks again for all you do to make these retreats possible for so many people. God bless you always.

It is about HOPE, the future and having fun.

It dawned on me why I was attracted to Reeling & Healing Midwest and not other similar organizations. It is about HOPE, the future and having fun. I feel great volunteering and helping R&HM and always look forward to the next time Im going to be there.

It was a smashing success

I had a GREAT time learning a little about fly fishing, a number of things about other survivors and also some things about myself. It was a smashing success and I look forward to my photos. My very best wishes to all of the incredible volunteers who are so devoted to Reeling & Healing Midwest.

It was such a powerful time.

Thank you for the opportunity to experience a retreat. The memories will be taken with me for the rest of my life. It was such a powerful time. I could never have dreamed I would have left with so much. I will be forever blessed because of my time in the river and the women I met.

I felt truly blessed to be part of the experience.

Just a note to let you know how honored I was to be given the opportunity to assist with the retreat. I felt truly blessed to be part of the experience. As I am sure you could tell, I can be an emotional guy much like the others and it was a life-changing experience.

I am so impressed with what Ive seen…

My son volunteered at a retreat last summer. I wanted to thank you for the opportunity you gave him. It truly made him a better person and if he pursues medicine, I am confident that it will make him a better doctor. That being said, I am so impressed with what Ive seen, I was wondering if I could participate in the future? I am not nearly the fly fisherman my son is, but if theres something that I can do to help, please let me know.

Thank you again for the opportunity to make a father proud.

I wanted to thank you for such an amazing retreat.

I wanted to thank you for such an amazing retreat. The ladies I road with were already reminiscing on the way back home. Each one of us truly had an inspiring, enjoyable, and refreshing three days. The photos you sent were great.
