FISH. FUN. VIDEOS. FILM.

logo2.pngThe Drake Magazine hosted their Second Annual Video Awards at the 2007 Fly Fishing Retailer Show in Denver. Focus of the videos? On fly fishing of course. The short clips run the gamut of storytelling – from a father and daughter guide team fishing together in their home waters of Alaska, to fun times in the sun with tarpon and permit. They evoke a few chuckles, appeal to your soft side and may have you chopping at the bit to go after new fish in a new location. Worth checking out. Click here.

One of the video production teams, AEG Media was a finalist. Their present goal is to be theaegmedialogo.gif leader in bringing new fly fishing adventure to the big screen. They will be rolling out their 2008 Fly Fishing Film Tour soon at a theater near you. With regards to the film they’ve stated, “If you fly fish you are going to be blown away, if you don’t fly fish you are going to be inspired.” Check out their site for more info.

Forever Memories.

I really enjoyed the fly fishing retreat. Thanks for EVERYTHING that was done to make it such a beautiful, healing experience. I will carry the memories with me forever.

What an Opportunity – One I Will Never Forget.

What an opportunity R&H Midwest was to be with ourselves, and in Mother Nature, with an incredible group of loving people. It was a place where my heart could “come out”, a place to get involved and discover. Thank you for a well-planned, fun, interesting, and very rewarding retreat! -Nancy S.

What an inspiration!

Thank you for continuing to inspire me to work hard for my education. I have decided to work toward an oncology position as a career. These women need the best of care and I intend to give it to them!

October 2007 Reunion Retreat Was Great!

The October Retreat was fantastic! A wonderful group of survivors and volunteers eager to fish the Pere Marquette in search of brown trout, steelhead and salmon. The weather was amazing – better than last year when I had on four layers of clothing. I left the mittens and ear muffs at the river lodge and was in the river, helping guide, taking photos and listening to everyone’s story.

I can’t wait for next year!

I Finally Felt Free.

There were so many people who gave so much of themselves for us at the retreat. I felt indulgent! What a great group! I finished radiation on the Friday prior to the retreat and then ventured to Grayling on Sunday, where I immediately felt like I was let loose from a cage. Everyone had such control of me for so many months. I finally felt free! What a way to start a new beginning, a new cancer-free life. To start it on the river was spectacular! Thanks again for all you do to make these retreats possible for so many people. God bless you always.

Wonderful Memories.

Thank you, thank you. Thank you for the wonderful memories. It was a wonderful time and you made it that way. I’m delighted with the photos – so many and they’re great. I’m going to show them off to friends. Can’t wait to get my rod outfit! Fish On!
